A to Z

Accessibility

The major part of the event will take place on the ground floor (anything happening in the „bar“ or the „hall“ as well as the concert and the party). If you would like to participate in a workshop which is scheduled to take place in another room and stairs are an obstacle to you, feel free to contact us. We will try our best to find another solution. AZ Mülheim has a wheel-chair accessible toilet, however the entryway is rather uneven.

Child care

We welcome children at our event! There will be a childrens’ space and if needed, we will organize child care during the workshops. If you need child care, please contact us.

Entrance fee

We don’t want anyone to be excluded from Summerlab because they don’t have the material ressources. Therefore, we don’t aks for a fixed entrance fee. You can purchase drinks at a cheap rate at AZ Mülheim.

If you are attending the whole weekend, you do not have to pay extra for the concert and the party. We will aks anyone else to donate a small amount from 1€ to 5€ for the concert on Friday and the film screening and party on Saturday, so we are able to compensate the bands’ and Djnes’ expenses.

Helping out

If you would like to help us during the weekend, please write us at
queerfeministischevernetzung@riseup.net

We need some support for child care, bar shifts, setting the place up, distributing flyers and promoting the event.

Kitchen for all

We will be preparing meals together, however we will take care of buying food in advance. In the mornings there will be a brunch which will still be available for the remainder of the day. In the evenings a group of people who would like to do so will cook for everyone. We also desperately need someone to plan and organize the meals in general. Please mail us at:queerfeministischevernetzung@riseup.net if you can imagine to take on the preparations.

Participation Fee

If you can, please help us cover our costs by leaving a donation. To make the summerlab accessible to anyone, we will not be asking for a fixed participation fee. We will set up a seperate donation box to cover the cost of food together, however you will not be asked to donate a certain amount either, but rather you may give what you can.

Saferspace for PoC (People of Color)

We will be providing a PoC Empowerment Space, where people who are negatively affected by racism can retreat to get together and connect amongst themselves.

Skating

There is a skate hall at AZ. You can make use of it when no workshop is taking place in the hall. So feel free to bring along your boards. If you have never skated before, this is the opportunity to find someone who will help you with those first steps.

Sleeping opportunities

We will arrange places to sleep via a sleeping places exchange. If you can set up someone at your home, please contact us. Also feel free to mail us in advance if you are in need of a sleeping place so we can arrange one.
